Developed from personal experience
Our own personal experience gave us the idea for the One Button Phone. Our parents lived alone for many years, hundreds of kilometers away from us. How often we tried in vain to reach them by phone and worried sick!
Life becomes increasingly difficult for people over 80 due to declining physical and cognitive abilities. They may simply no longer hear the phone ring, have trouble finding it, or forget to call back. Typically, one would want to call their elderly parent living alone at least once a day to check if everything is alright.

First prototype
After years of research and development, the first prototype of the One Button Phone was unveiled. This milestone marks the beginning of a new era in technology for seniors.
Further ideas and design adjustments
The first prototype quickly evolved, taking on shape and color, and finally we were able to produce the first functioning prototype in the new design! An important step towards series production.
Series production
The transition from idea to reality: Mass production of the One Button Phone begins, with the aim of improving the quality of life and safety for seniors worldwide.
Founding of One Button Phone GmbH and market launch of Model 2022
A new chapter begins: One Button Phone GmbH is officially founded. With the market launch of the 2022 model, our commitment to innovation and everyday safety reaches a new peak.

Often, these worries are unfounded – but what can you do in that moment? How can you free yourself from this uncertainty? What would you give right now to be freed from these worries immediately?
Since we ourselves were active in the mobile phone business in the 1990s in development and in the commercial sector, we decided to launch our own simple, one-button wristband phone, especially suitable for older people – the One Button Phone… for a carefree everyday life.

Since 2010, he has successfully guided several companies, particularly in the mobile communications sector, and since 2013 has focused primarily on online retail, the development of various marketing strategies, and the optimization of digital workflows.
In 2023, Kai Achilles took over the management of One Button Phone GmbH.
After studying mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen University, he began his professional career at Siemens AG in Munich as an engineer in mobile phone development. At the same time, he earned his doctorate at the Institute for Plastics Processing (IKV) with a dissertation on methodological pre-development. He then worked for Otto Wolff von Amerongen's group and has been an independent consultant for systematic innovation since 2004.
After completing his chemistry studies at Yale, USA, and his law studies at Stanford, USA, he worked as a US lawyer and then for Siemens AG. There, he was head of the finance department in Moscow, commercial director of the mobile networks division, and head of SBS Ventures in Munich. Darien is a self-employed US patent attorney.
